Women of Waveny:
Artists, Patrons, and the Lapham Legacy

On View November 12, 2021 - March 31, 2022

Curators Arianne Kolb and Miki Porta present an extraordinary look at Antoinette Dearborn Lapham, Ruth Lapham Lloyd, and Elise Lapham, and the artists who helped shape the Waveny estate, now New Canaan’s preeminent public park. The show features bronzes by sculptor Abastenia St. Leger Eberle and images by photographer Frances Benjamin Johnston. A tribute to these women who left an indelible mark on New Canaan, the exhibition also celebrates “women’s work” more generally and its contribution to our national fabric.
