In this talk, the artist will delve into the evolution of her artwork, tracing the path that led her to develop a unique artistic practice of unweaving linens to create her modern-day tapestries. Friese will share her inspirations and challenges that shape her approach, and discuss how she stays true to her artistic vision. As both an artist and gallery owner, she will explore how curating others’ works has expanded her creative horizons, allowing her to balance personal expression with the joy of fostering a diverse artistic community. Come hear about her journey as an artist and how she navigates the dual roles of creator and curator.
