The Jim Bach Special Collections Museum opened in January 2025. Designed by Mark Markiewicz, its architecture draws on both the barn that existed in its place in the late 1700s and the expansive glass prevalent in midcentury modern houses for which New Canaan is famous.

The SCM has three separate exhibition spaces. The Janice Luddy Carriage Room holds a fully-restored c. 1855 Demarest carriage. The Branch Family Print Shop in honor of David S. Branch houses the working Hoe-Acorn press. The third space is dedicated to the Silvermine Group of Artists, and includes the studio of Addison Millar, one of the founders, which was donated by the Fry family and moved to this campus from Mill Road. This space has rotating exhibitions of work by this exceptional group of local artists.

The Museum is closed
July 31 - August 8
for summer vacation.
It will reopen August 9.
