Howard Logan Hildebrandt: An American Post Impressionist
Exhibition Period:
Though March 14
The exhibition showcases the talent and style of Howard Hildebrandt, a founding member of the Silvermine Group of Artists. Primarily a portraitist, the various artworks reveal the complexity of Hildebrandt’s technique; showcasing his use of dynamic brushwork and color not just through portraiture, but through landscape, still life, and scenes. On view are selections from the Museum’s permanent collection and paintings on loan from Edward Vollmer and Susan Gunn Bromley. Two of the Museum’s works were generously donated by Betty Branch, who purchased them from the collection of A. William and Lynn S. Mottolese.
