Join architect and Board Governor Mark Markiewicz, AIA, to learn about the life and work of Eero Saarinen, whose innovative designs captured the spirit of American optimism in the 1950s. New technology, a booming post-war economy, and the Mad Men lifestyle all set the stage for his diverse projects, including the American Embassy in Oslo, Norway, the Technical Center for General Motors in Warren, Michigan, and the iconic St. Louis arch.

An American Versailles, an exhibition on Saarinen’s Technical Center, will be open for viewing in the Schmeichel Gallery at the New Canaan Museum.
