The Museum is fortunate to have received several of Simon’s paintings, which are on permanent display in the Simon Dining Room. Drawing on extensive genealogical and historical research, Wood will share the fascinating story of her talented relative, whose artwork and legacy continue to enrich New Canaan’s cultural history.
Wood recently published an article about Augusta Simon in Connecticut Genealogy News and is delighted to share the discoveries she made while researching her remarkable family connection.
