13 Oenoke Ridge
New Canaan, CT 06840, USA
Mary Fetchet, Director of Voices of Resilience, formerly, Voices of 9-11, will share how personal experience, memory, and community response shape the way we understand the past. She will also discuss the evolution of her work over the past 25 years.
This program is in coordination with the exhibition on view in the Schmeichel Gallery: Remembering 9/11, An Exhibition of Reflection and Resilience on view September 3 – October 17.
Commemorating the anniversary of September 11, this special exhibition brings together a moving collection of artwork, textiles, sculpture, teddy bears, photographs, and memorial ephemera that honor the lives lost, the courage displayed, and the enduring spirit of remembrance.
Each object tells a story—of grief, hope, unity, and healing—offering visitors an opportunity to reflect on one of the most significant moments in our nation’s history. From handcrafted tributes to personal mementos, the exhibition highlights the many ways individuals and communities have expressed remembrance in the years since September 11, 2001.
